Support for Communities

I am passionate about supporting my community and giving back to those in need as well as the wider community.

While this is intended to be an open community, because of my experiences, I am particularly passionate about supporting underprivileged women and girls, young professional women, women in the construction industry, and neurodiverse women and girls.

As someone who is always looking at ways to help others, I can often “freeze” when trying to decide who to support as there are so many amazing not-for-profit organisations making a huge impact. Knowing where to start can be overwhelming.

Below are a few organisations I have been supporting over the past few years, but this certainly is not a comprehensive list. I am always interested in supporting new worthy causes.

Share the Dignity

I have been supporting Share the Dignity for many years. This amazing not-for profit works to make a real, on-the-ground difference in the lives of women and girls experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence or doing it tough. They distribute sanitary items to those in need and work to end period poverty here in Australia. When a woman is doing it tough, the last thing on her mind should be dealing with her period.

The Push up Challenge

For the past 3 years, I have taken part in The Push-Up Challenge: Home (thepushupchallenge.com.au), which aims to make a different to mental health and suicide prevention. When taking part in the challenge you can raise funds for one of three beneficiaries; Lifeline, Movember, or Push For Better.
